Milan, Italy – Several of the world’s finest concept cars have been confirmed for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este car show, which will be presented April 25 through 27 at Lake Como, Italy. To be eligible for showing, all concept cars and prototypes must be in road-ready condition.
“It allows us to construct a unique scenario,” said Karl Baumer, Director of BMW Group Mobile Tradition and chairman of the show. “Models which are normally only seen in isolation on a pedestal at motor shows can reveal themselves in action in the light of day and be directly compared with other design studies and prototypes.”
Among the vehicles confirmed are the Rinspeed sQuba, an open roadster that converts into an underwater vehicle; Morgan Life Car Coupe, built by the Morgan Motor Company; Bugatti Veyron Fbg Hermès, a collaboration of the car company and clothing and leather goods firm; the Hyundai HED-5; Lexus LF-A, which premiered earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show; Renault Mégane Coupe Concept; Bentley Zagato Continental GTZ; Mercedes-Benz F700; Maserati Quattroporte Bellagio; Cadillac CTS Coupe; Saab 9-x bio-ethanol concept; and BMW Concept CS.
