Richmond Hill, Ontario – Minor league hockey coach Sean Smith of London, Ontario has won a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan in the Dodge Caravan Kids minor hockey contest. Smith was one of ten finalists randomly selected for the final contest draw at the Alliance Hockey House League Championships in Brantford, Ontario on April 5.
Each of the finalists selected a key for a chance to win the vehicle; Smith was the last to take his chance and found that his key started the vehicle.
The Dodge Caravan Kids is a team sponsorship program targeted at Novice House League hockey teams across Ontario. Teams are sponsored by Dodge Caravan Kids and sponsorship money is used to pay for jerseys and socks, and to raise money to help offset costs to local minor hockey associations to keep the game affordable. Over the past two seasons, the program has sponsored over 400 teams across Canada.
“We are extremely happy for Sean,” said Bill Johnston, Ontario Dealer Advertising Association President. “Chrysler Jeep Dodge retailers of Ontario are proud supporters of minor hockey through the Dodge Caravan Kids program. To see a hard-working and deserving minor hockey coach like Sean win this Grand Caravan is exciting.”
