Blenheim, Ontario – A 1957 Chrysler Diablo concept car considered the most valuable of its type will be the star attraction at RM Auction’s Sports & Classics of Monterey event in California in August.

The Diablo, conceived by Chrysler design chief, Virgil Exner, will be joined by several other European sports and racing cars, as well as several classic American luxury automobiles.

With an original cost estimate of over US$250,000, the Diablo was showcased to the public at the 1958 Chicago Auto Show before being returned to Ghia in Italy for their corporate promotion. It eventually returned to the United States and has been in the possession of the current owner for over 25 years.
