Toyota Canada donates $20,000 to earthquake relief

Toronto, Ontario – Toyota Canada Inc. has presented a cheque for $20,000 to the China Sichuan Earthquake Relief Fund, adding local support to a global contribution.

“Toyota Canada would like to offer the people affected by the earthquake in Sichuan our most sincere sympathy,” said Yoichi Tomihara, president and CEO of Toyota Canada. “Many people in the Chinese communities across Canada have been affected by this disaster, and we wanted to show our support.”

On a global scale, Toyota has provided the equivalent of $1 million CDN in relief funds, and a donation of five Land Cruiser four-wheel drive vehicles and five Coaster buses through the non-profit Chengu Charity Federation.
