Sonic offers biofuel in five Quebec stations

Montreal, Quebec – Sonic now offers biodiesel in five of its Montreal and Laval service stations, in addition to its station in Victoriaville. Over the next few months, it will be adding the fuel to 97 of its service stations in Quebec.

Biodiesel is made from renewable resources, including recycled vegetable oil, frying oil and animal fat, and can be used to replace all or some of the diesel fuel in gasoline engines. It is most often mixed with petroleum diesel in the proportion of two per cent (B2), five per cent (B5) and 20 per cent (B20). When compared with standard diesel, biodiesel produces similar results but releases fewer pollutants into the atmosphere.

The five stations are 2743-5757 Quebec inc. at 3055, blvd Saint-Charles, Kirkland; Gestion Martin Allard at 1013, blvd des Laurentides, Laval-Pont Viau; Station-service C.R. Inc. at 185, blvd Curé-Labelle, Sainte-Rose; Auto J & J at 1490, de l’Eglise street, Montreal; and Centre de l’auto Gilles at 2715, Fleury street East, Montreal.
