Hybridfest to focus on rising fuel prices

Madison, Wisconsin – The annual Hybridfest 2008 is scheduled to run as part of the Dane County Fair on July 19 and 20, 2008, in Madison, Wisconsin, and is expected to draw hybrid vehicles and participants from across the U.S. and Canada.

The event will offer the largest selection of clean and sustainable vehicles in one venue, including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, biodiesel, electric, propane, compressed natural gas and other experimental vehicles. The two-day event includes speakers who will share fuel-saving driving tips, along with displays by manufacturers, dealers, environmental groups, vendors and exhibitors, the MPG Challenge, and test drives. The 2007 edition drew more than 12,000 people; admission to the 2008 event is free with the purchase of a ticket to the fair.

Presented by Powers Productions LLC, the event’s sponsors include Toyota, General Motors, Madison Gas & Electric, and Wisconsin Public power Inc. For more information, visit HybridFest.com.
