2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Oshawa, Ontario – Chevrolet has introduced the production version of the 2010 Camaro, which will be built at the company’s Oshawa Car Assembly Plant in Oshawa, Ontario. Heritage-inspired, the Camaro will include advanced technology and an estimated 9.0 L/100 km highway fuel efficiency on V6 models. Sales will begin in the first quarter of 2009.

“The new Chevrolet Camaro delivers the best of both worlds, great heritage and a thoroughly modern, advanced package of sporty driving, comfort and technology,” said Marc Comeau, vice president sales, service and marketing, GM of Canada. “And it does so with styling, fuel economy and value our competitors simply can’t match.”

Built on GM’s new global, rear-wheel drive architecture, the Camaro is offered in V6-powered LS and LT models, and the V8-powered SS, all with fuel-saving six-speed transmissions. Features will include six standard airbags, advanced powertrain technologies including direct injection and Active Fuel Management, four-wheel independent suspension, variable-rate power steering, four-wheel disc brakes on all models with four-piston Brembo calipers on SS models, standard StabiliTrak stability control system, premium stereo, ultrasonic rear parking assist, OnStar and XM Satellite Radio.
