Royal Oak, Michigan - Chrysler has kicked off the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, scheduled for this Saturday, August 16, with the introduction of the special-edition 2009 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series 5. The model will be available as a limited-production version this fall.

“Chrysler PT Dream Cruisers are about individuality and uniqueness, and for 2009 we modernized our next factory-customized edition,” said Larry Lyons, Vice-President, Car and Minivan Product Team at Chrysler. “The new 2009 Chrysler PT Dream Cruiser Series 5 embodies a contemporary theme with a distinctive two-tone exterior and the use of unique exterior and interior materials.”

The fifth Dream Cruiser model and the 14th factory-customized PT Cruiser, the 2009 PT Dream Cruiser Series 5 features a contrasting two-tone paint theme, cross-hatched upper and lower solid billet aluminum grilles, 17-inch SRT Design wheels, and chrome body-side mouldings. Inside, the car includes contrasting paint themes, embossed seat fabric, leather-wrapped wheel with silver accents, and premium floor mats and door-entry sill plates. The company will produce 1,750 units for the 2009 model year.
