Toronto, Ontario – Lexus has announced that the 2009 IS F is now on sale across Canada, with a starting price of $64,450. It is joined by the 2009 Lexus IS luxury sports sedan, which starts at $31,500 for the IS 250 RWD, $37,650 for the IS 250 AWD and $42,950 for the IS 350 RWD.

“The IS F is the next-generation high-output thrill ride that serious drivers across Canada were waiting for,” said Tony Wearing, Managing Director, Lexus in Canada. “With the IS F, we have created a new breed of performance machine, the product of an entirely new design and engineering process at Lexus. It’s already proven itself worthy of its unique marque, the ‘F’ series.”

The IS F was extensively tested on tracks around the world, including Japan’s Fuji Speedway, Germany’s Nurburgring Nordschleife, Circuit Paul Richard in France, Circuit Zolder in Belgium and California’s Laguna Seca Raceway.

For 2009, the IS series is offered in four models. New for 2009, the IS series features distinctive grilles, integrated turn signal lamps, standard vehicle stability control and traction control, along with a number of upgrade packages.
