Paris, France - Honda has revealed a concept version of its new small hybrid vehicle, the Insight, at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.

The new Insight Concept shares styling cues with the Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle, and provides an early look at the upcoming production five-passenger hybrid vehicle.

The production Insight will be a five-passenger hatchback that uses a 1.3-litre gasoline engine, assisted by an electric motor. While achieving fuel economy on par with the Civic Hybrid, the Insight will have a new platform designed specifically for the vehicle.

The new Insight is scheduled to go on sale in Japan, Europe and North America in the spring of 2009, with projected annual global sales of 200,000 units.
