Renovations to Mercedes Toronto showroom completed

Toronto, Ontario – Mercedes-Benz has announced the completion of renovations and expansions at its flagship Mercedes-Benz Downtown store on Dundas Street in Toronto. The dealership is now the largest in the company’s Canadian network and features an open sales concept design split over three levels.

The dealership also includes a separate AMG, Maybach and SLR area, an onsite Smart Centre, and an indoor pre-owned showroom on the lower level that is also the largest in the Mercedes-Benz dealership network.

Originally built in 1989, the location initially sat on 0.6 acres, but over time, adjacent properties were acquired and the new complex now occupies approximately 1.8 acres of land. The layout and infrastructure follows Mercedes-Benz’s “Autohaus” concept, which promotes wide open areas and the use of glass to maintain transparency everywhere in the dealership.

“Mercedes-Benz Downtown was the first full-fledged sales, parts and service dealership in Canada to be built on five floors,” said Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada. “Mercedes-Benz was a pioneer in the efficient use of space for a downtown operation. These updates to our Mercedes-Benz Downtown facility once again set an industry benchmark and brings us back to the forefront of design. The convenient location, bright open feel of the showrooms, new larger indoor drive-through service area and comfortable customer lounge are all designed to deliver uncompromising customer service.”
