Chrysler showcases eight specialty vehicles at SEMA

Las Vegas, Nevada – Chrysler is showcasing eight vehicles at the 2008 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, including a V10-powered version of the Dodge Challenger.

The Challenger SRT 10 Concept uses a 8.4-litre Dodge Viper engine, producing 600 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque, and was developed by Chrysler’s in-house performance engineering organization, Street and Racing Technology (SRT). The concept also includes a retuned version of the 2009 Challenger SRT8 suspension, an SRT-engineered braking system, Bilstein monotube shocks, hydroformed steel front cradle rails, carbon-fibre hood and deck lid, and 20-inch Alcoa forged aluminum wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires.

The Mopar Underground design team produced six vehicles at the event, including the Dodge Challenger Blacktop, Dodge Ram TRXtreme, Dodge Ram R/T, Dodge Ram Sportsman, Dodge Ram Mopar Street Package, and the Dodge Challenger Targa that was driven by designer Ralph Gilles in this year’s Targa Newfoundland road rally.
