Las Vegas, Nevada - Subaru of America is showcasing high-performance concepts, along with a group of specialty tuner and race vehicles, at the 2008 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Among the vehicles highlighted are a 2009 Forester XTI, and the WRX STI featured in the upcoming movie Fast and Furious 4.

The Forester XTI Concept combines the all-new Forester 2.5XT with the performance of the Impreza WRX STI, along with a sport mesh grille, body kit with side skirts and spoiler, 18-inch STI forged alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, leather and Alcantara sport seats, and a 2.5-litre intercooled turbo engine modified to an estimated 315 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.

The Fast and Furious 4 WRX STI is patterned after the World Rally Car Concept and includes a Vellside body kit, custom black and silver paint with red pinstriping, 18-inch Continental Sport Contact 2 tires, custom roll cage and Cobb exhaust. The film will be released on June 12, 2009.

Other vehicles in Subaru’s display include a 2009 Forester Mountain Rescue Concept, designed in conjunction with the National Ski Patrol, and a 2009 Impreza WRX customized with parts from Subaru Genuine Accessory and SPT, including a front lip spoiler, performance springs, 19-inch wheels, SPT cat-back exhaust, and lower chassis brace and strut tower brace.
