Oakville, Ontario – The Ford F-Series finished up 2008 as the best-selling pickup truck in Canada, for the 43rd year in a row. In the U.S., the F-Series recorded its 32nd consecutive year as the best-selling truck, and for the 27th consecutive year, was the best-selling vehicle of any type, including cars, crossovers, SUVs, trucks and vans.

In the U.S., 2008 sales were 515,513 units, which the company said was more than 50,000 vehicles over its nearest truck rival.

The F-150 was completely redesigned for 2009 and was named Truck of the Year by Motor Trend magazine. It is also a finalist for the 2009 North American Truck of the Year award.
