Miami, Florida – Audi has revealed the all-new A8 in a world premiere in Miami, and will present the car at Design Miami 2009 to an audience of design experts from around the world.

“The Audi A8 is the flagship of our brand,” said Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of Audi AG. “Our aim was to get as close as possible to the perfect automobile.”

The company is showing the A8 in the exhibition The Art of Progress at the Audi pavilion, where it collaborated with British designer Tom Dixon to produce the installation Light Light exclusively for the premiere. It uses 120 aluminum lights suspended in a cluster of metalized foil helium-filled balloons. Each light is fitted with multiple LED bulbs in tribute to the LED headlights used in the new A8.

Design Miami will run from December 1 through 5, and is the fourth time that Audi is the Fair’s exclusive auto partner.
