2010 Buick LaCrosse
The second generation LaCrosse (formerly Allure) is a completely new car jointly designed by GM’s European, North American and Chinese subsidiaries, reports Contributing Editor Chris Chase. It offers notably improved handling but the base V6 engine seems underpowered, he says.

2009 Buick Enclave CX FWD
The Enclave marks a turning point for Buick, says Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh, with good performance and an interior that stands up to the competition; for 2009, there’s new direct injection that makes the V6 even more powerful than before.

Buick Allure, 2005-2009
The Buick Allure received average and above average reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, but there are two things to look out for: intake manifold leaks in the 3.8-litre engine, and brake issues, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase.

2009 Buick Enclave CX FWD
The Buick Enclave is notable for its very smooth V6 drivetrain, on-road manners, and roomy, whisper-quiet cabin, says Senior Editor Paul Williams. But its plus-sized proportions demand “extra attention” when parking, he says.

Buick GS, 1967-1972
The Gran Sport and GS nomenclature were available as a sportier option on several Buicks from 1965 to 1975, including the Riviera, Wildcat and Century, but arguably the most famous and best remembered were the Skylark-based models.

Buick Century, 1997-2005
The Century name has a lot of history within General Motors' Buick division. The first car to wear the name debuted in 1936 as a full-size model and lasted two generations. The Century disappeared after 1959, and wouldn't return to the Buick lineup until 1973, when it was resurrected as a midsize model.

Buick Rainier, 2002-2007
The 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and GMC Envoy were the trucks designed to replace the aging Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy as GM's entry in the mid-sized SUV segment. Not only were the new trucks significantly larger, but they were also more mechanically sophisticated.

Second opinion: 2008 Buick Enclave

Click image to enlarge Review and photos by Chris Chase Photo Gallery: 2008 Buick Enclave Ottawa, Ontario – This was my second experience with GM’s new crossover platform, my first having been behind the wheel of a GMC Acadia. Needless to say, after that experience, my expectations were high for the Enclave, which [...]

Buick Terazza, 2005-2007
General Motors' first minivans were the Chevrolet Astro and GMC Safari, which debuted in 1985. They were solid vehicles, but their truck-based underpinnings meant they couldn't boast the car-like driving dynamics of the Chrysler minivans that created the segment in 1984.
