The 575M Maranello is named for its engine size (5750 cc) with an “M” for “modified”, referring to the engine’s improved performance over the previous 550 Maranello. Its F1-type transmission is the first ever used on a 12-cylinder Ferrari road car. Gear changes can be done through the console or through wheel-mounted paddles, and the electro-actuated transmission can be set to automatic or low-grip.
Ride height can be controlled through an adaptive system of independently controlled damping at all four corners of the car. Sport gives a sportier ride, while Comfort absorbs road imperfections for a smoother ride.
Interior features include six-way power seats with memory, air conditioning, and dials grouped together in a single pod, with a rev counter in the centre. Interior choices come down to customer specifications, including interior materials, racing or road specifications, and optional equipment.
