- Vehicle stability control standard on S and LE models, optional on CE with Enhanced Convenience Package
- New Leather Package available on S and XRS
- New Moon Roof and Navigation Package available on LE

Completely redesigned for 2009, the Toyota Corolla enters 2010 with few changes. Most notable is that vehicle stability control, previously standard only on the XRS, is now also standard on the S and LE models, and can be added to the base CE model. Two new packages also add leather upholstery, sunroof and navigation package to select trim lines.

Two engines are available: a 1.8-litre four-cylinder in the CE, LE and S, and a 2.4-litre four-cylinder in the XRS. All but the LE come base with a five-speed manual transmission. A four-speed automatic is optional on the CE and S, and standard on the LE, while the XRS can be optioned to a five-speed automatic with manual mode.

Features on the base CE include 15-inch steel wheels, heated power mirrors, intermittent wipers, fabric bucket seats, 60/40 folding rear seat, tilt and telescopic wheel, CD/MP3 stereo with four speakers and auxiliary input jack, illuminated entry, dual vanity mirrors, accessory power outlet, and floor mats.

The LE adds 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, variable intermittent wipers, fog lamps, tire pressure monitoring system, woodgrain trim, six speakers, Optitron gauges, cruise control, power locks with keyless entry, and power windows. Unique to the LE is a smart key system with pushbutton ignition, and automatic climate control.

The S adds skirt package, black headlamp surround, sport fabric seats, stainless steel scuff plates, and leather-wrapped wheel with audio controls.

The XRS adds 17-inch alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power sunroof, sport bucket seats, and metallic dash inserts.

The Corolla has sold some 33 million copies since 1966, and it continues to dominate the market through its combination of value, quality and fuel economy. The addition of vehicle stability control, standard or available on all models, adds considerably to its desirability. The platform is also used as the basis for the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe.
