2010 Cadillac SRX 3.0 AWD
“Smaller, leaner, and more efficient,” the new Cadillac SRX now shares its platform with the Chevrolet Equinox, reports Contributing Editor, Chris Chase. “It’s a much better fit with key import competitors,” he says.

2010 Cadillac SRX
The new SRX is so completely new that it is difficult to compare it to the outgoing model, say Managing Editor, Grant Yoxon. Now front-wheel drive with optional AWD, the 2010 SRX offers two smaller V6 engines with better fuel economy.

2010 Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon
The 2010 CTS Sport Wagon is Cadillac’s first North American factory-built wagon. Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh drives it and says it’s gorgeous and a superb handler, but loses a bit of performance in the name of fuel economy.

Cadillac SRX, 2004-2009
“The SRX’s reliability is about mid-pack in the luxury SUV field,” says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase, ”...slightly better, perhaps, than a first-generation BMW X5 and much better than a Mercedes ML-Class, but not quite up to the standards of Japanese entries.”

2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid
With its sophisticated two-mode hybrid system, the Escalade Hybrid gets better fuel economy than a regular Escalade - but with a base price of over $94,000, that’s probably not the main reason customers will buy it.

Cadillac Catera, 1997-2001
A rebadged version of the European Opel Omega, the Cadillac Catera was "almost unbelievably unreliable", at least in its first two model years, reveals Contributing Editor, Chris Chase. "This is one car I'd probably avoid," he says.

2008 Cadillac STS V8

Face-lifted for the 2008 model year, the Cadillac STS is available with a new 302-hp V6 engine or the carry-over 320-hp Northstar V8, reports contributor Laurance Yap. "The V8 is like butter under most driving situations and even under hard acceleration is nearly silent. The V6, on the other hand, can sound a bit harsh and metallic under duress."
