Well it is a wrap up for me in Montreal, I have made it back to Ottawa a little tired but I had a complete blast the catchthevibe event. I was there to witness the cars hit the truck once again for their trek to Toronto where Chris Chase will be embarking in his challenge as part of Team Traction on April 1st.

Montreal is a great city — just be sure to excuse the crazy traffic conditions — I took a walk down to the famous Schwartz’s Bifteck for a smoked meat sandwich — it was oh so yummy!
The challenges presented to us today were not that difficult but they were still a challenge. Getting 175km on a vehicle in Montreal was a tough challenge even with our trip out to St. Hubert and even further to find a Pontiac dealership. We returned to the hotel with just barely 180km on the odometer.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to drive the Vibe at all (not even around the block) so I haven’t a clue how it handles or feels, but I had a good amount of time in the passenger seat — which was fairly comfortable. I do really like the look of the new Vibe, Pontiac has been improving their styling and removing plastic cladding and bubbles and it makes the car look cleaner and more modern.
Perhaps Chris will get some driving impressions for the CanadianDriver team when he is in Toronto and he’ll forget about the challenge propelling Team Performance to victory! Don’t forget to sign up for your chance to win a Vibe and don’t forget to support Team Performance!

The “Catch The Vibe” challenge consists of four teams of auto writers in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver competing to earn “Pontiac Points” through a series of “adventurous challenges”. Our intrepid writers will be armed with wireless hand-held digital communications technology (ie. Blackberrys) so they can blog or “twitter” their progress live on CarTalkCanada.com (March 27 and 28) and on CanadianDriver.com (April 1 and 2) and post photos of their adventures. Readers can participate by helping them find clues and solve problems to help their teams win.
For more info, visit the official site, CatchtheVibe.ca and don’t forget to look for James’ frequent twitter updates — right here on CarTalkCanada. Next Wednesday, look for Chris Chase’s updates on CanadianDriver.com.

all kidding aside, I doubt you're the target demo that BMW was after with the campaign or even the 1 series for that matter.

March 25, 2008, 08:14:21 pm Day 1 is done. Looks like Team Performance did well, they are in the lead!!!!!!!
Reading the blog it sounds like they got help but never asked people online for it... odd -- they never used twitter which is the entire point as others who subscribed would see and reply to their questions. I'm going to make the most of the twitter when I'm out there on Friday.
I hope tomorrow's team uses the supports to their advantage.
March 25, 2008, 08:16:55 pm How come no one e-mailed me to thank me for my reply?
