Just what we need, people looking down at a screen while driving in the dark!

Unless it can be overlaid onto the windshield somehow, it seems like a dumb toy to me.

I want my HUD!!!

Cadillac did have a similar system and I believe they were the first. Their system was also a FIR system but the system has been improved by BMW. Perhaps Cadillac will re-instate their system if this gains traction.

"BMW will be the only manufacturer to offer this innovative driver assistance system in a total of five model series."

Wasn't the old Caddy system just as innovative, if not unpopular? Oh well, I guess if BMW owners like it, THEN it'll become popular? *shrug* People are weird.
