More Day-by-Day Reviews

November 24th, 2005 by James Bergeron

Whitby, Ontario -
Parkview BMW today achieved Quality Management Autohaus (QMA) certification and was awarded the BMW Quality Trophy. The award recognizes the successful completion of the QMA certification process, including participation from all 88 employees of Parkview BMW.

“The award demonstrates the commitment of our whole team - from Client Advisors to Technicians - to deliver the best service and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction,” said Steve Quinn, Owner, Parkview BMW. “It confirms our pledge to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers.”

To receive QMA certification and the award, Parkview BMW completed a thorough seven month program, centred upon the refinement, improvement and documentation of all business processes – thus creating maximum efficiencies. Finally, Parkview BMW was assessed by a third-party auditor and scored on its level of adherence to all QMA requirements.

“BMW Group Canada is pleased to present the BMW Quality Trophy to Parkview BMW and its dedicated team,” said Peter Boswell, QMA Program Manager, BMW Group Canada. “QMA is a new program that has been adapted for the Canadian market from BMW’s European quality system. It effectively addresses major business challenges and we believe it will become a proven approach for continuous improvement to deliver superior customer service.”

I had a tour of that place just before it opened and that place cost 14 million dollars without the cars. It is quite the place. They have a huge 2 level new car showroom and a separate used car showroom but surprising few cars considering the massive area. The bulk of the new cars are kept undergound in close quarters. Drive thru automated car wash as well. The whole thing was built to German standards. Later they had a few cars stolen right out form under them inside so now all cars are guarded by a security dude. With 88 employees I have no idea how they can expect to turn a profit with such overhead.
