Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

Had a nice reception at Acura of Victoria.  The CSX looks solid.  From the pictures I thought the steering wheel would be oversized, but actually it's tiny (GOOD!) and slightly shaped like an F1 wheel!  I won't buy this car but it's a good product.

I just drove the the civic EX and the acura csx. I know the csx is a bit more money, but i'de never buy the civic after trying them both. The csx feels a lot faster, the civic feels like someone need to push behind to go anywhere.

When I buy a QX4, I don't want a Pathfinder.  When I buy an ES330, I don't want a Camry.  When I buy a TSX, I don't want an Accord.

Acura is not the only one who shares, but give the CSX a try and you'll be pleasently surprised.

I probably missed this somewhere alone the line; but does the CSX come in coupe form? Or do you have to go to the RSX for a coupe?

The RSX is Acura's only 2 door for 2006.

Word on the street is that they are moving the RSX up-market for 2007.  That may mean RWD.  - a possible G35 Coupe contendor Shocked

Would be a good idea to have a coupe....ala CL style.  Also brings the lineup to basically not include a ricy option for the tuner crowd...keeping the Acura label into a particular segment.  Leave the Civic Si to fight for the tuners.  Good plan if it comes true.

I agree on the models mentioned except the TSX, no doubt the CSX is a better performer and it's pretty obvious by the specs.  For me the problem is the looks, that's the part that turns me off.

i dun think i gonna complain too much since it's an official Japanese version of Civic, but we get a better engine, and a paddle shifter system! now that's UNIQUE...

if it's offered with a supercharger tuning that boost up to 300hp and equip with 6MT it's even better! (refer to Mugen Civic Dominator)

I HIGHLY doubt you'll see that car in NA, ever.  But if you want one, for less money you can buy an 06 Civic Si and throw a supercharger under the hood.  There are show cars with that mod that have acheived 300 hp.  And a 6 speed manual transmission is the only one offered.

I just don't get this car!  Why would anyone pay (a lot) more for a tarted-up Civic?  When it's all said and done, and you've taken away the extra few ponies and the leather seats, you're left with a Honda Civic.  The plain Jane Civic is a much better buy, and the SI (if you want a coupe and standard tranny) is the way to go (in my view).
If you really want an Acura (Civic), buy the Civic and some used Acura script, and put them on your Civic....no one will notice the difference! Grin Shocked Grin

i find it funny when people make comments without knowing what they're talking about. You can't compare the CSX with the Si. Compare the civic with the CSX. I'm not gonna start arguing about which car is better. Go try both of them. I did. The civic felt lazy. The CSX is much more fun to drive.

Um...  Civic Si.  Just because the Si is a top level trim does not make it not a Civic...  the CSX advertises its sportiness, therefor a comparison with the Si is fair.  As I see it, the only reason to take the CSX above the Civic LX is if you want sport but need four doors...

Most of what I've heard indicates the CSX is a sportier car than the non-Si Civic.  Or if you really want a Civic with nav.  Cheesy

Well, the base CSX costs about the save as the SI, so I guess you can compare these two... But the CSX comes with a few goodies that the SI doesn't have, and an Acura has a bit of a cachet that some people are looking for. And the SI is a two door coupe, what good is that if you're looking at a sedan? Compare the SI to the RSX if you want, but the CSX has to be compared with the Civic sedan.

Not sure what exactly the extra goodies you get with a base Touring versus the Civic, but to me, the stronger engine, paddle shifter, automatic climate controls and sunroof alone are worth the extra few thousands you have to pay to get into a base Touring instead of a Civic.

And best of all, not having problems finding your car in your parking lots full of Civics, Corollas and Mazda3s has to be worth a lot of money just in itself... the CSX gets you exclusivity.
