I've driven this car as a rental from a number of major North American airport rental agencies. I've liked it.

A colleague has this car--and a V-6 with the 5 speed no less.   This thing feels like such a Ford.  Heavy clutch like a Mustang, shifts like a Mustang...does not accelerate and burnout like a Mustang though.

A colleague has this car--and a V-6 with the 5 speed no less.   This thing feels like such a Ford.  Heavy clutch like a Mustang, shifts like a Mustang...does not accelerate and burnout like a Mustang though. 

What Mustang are you referring to? The clutch in mine is not heavy at all, and it shifts smoothly and is much shorter shift than Mustangs prior to 2005. Are you referring to old Mustangs?  Huh

I should have specified.  Yup, the old Mustangs (as in Fox platform Mustangs).

Ya, the II was quite a let down for Mustang fans. Mind you, the Chrysler pony cars were totally gone, and the Camaro was not so good in the mid to late 70s either. A crappy time to be a car nut, it was.
