Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

Test Drive:
2006 Honda Odyssey Touring

2006 Honda Odyssey TouringThe Odyssey's interior space utilization, technology advances, passenger comfort and the improvements in ride and road handling "make this a simply marvellous vehicle," says Bob McHugh. "Considering its size and height, the handling characteristics are remarkable and it offers a luxury car like ride as well," he says.      More...

nice van, but 50K + 4.9% = mortgage payment. I've seen a few around and it's a nice looking van, albeit quite large.

And what the heck does this mean?

"Some safety advancements were introduced with the Odyssey's redesign in 2005: Honda's "Advanced Compatibility Engineering" reduces damage that the Odyssey can do to other (smaller) vehicles in a frontal collision."

Another overpriced and overhyped Honda product. Someone I know has a 2004
Odyssey and it's a rattle box...every plastic part seems to rattle when you hit
a rougher road. It says alot about it's structural integrity that's for sure.

I love Honda's but I think they priced this van too high, by about 2-3K per model.   It's not a question of affordability, but rather I don't perceive it as being appropriately priced.

If I were buying something in this segment, I would likely buy a Toyota, and consider the "new" Quest.

Even if Honda is selling Odyssey at this price, they still can't build enough to satisfy customers. Odyssey has been selling at MSRP since outgoing model introduced back in 99.

I read somewhere that they had a 30-50+ day suppy and needed to idle a shift that makes them for a couple of weeks.

I've seen lots of 2004 Siennas advertised for about $20K.  That makes way more sense to me than any new van.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) Body Structure

ACE body structure incorporates a front-end frame structure that absorbs and disperses crash energy over a larger area. ACE increases Odyssey passenger protection, and makes it more crash-compatible with vehicles of differing ride heights.

Honda doesn't have a problem selling its vans but I don't think they produce that much.  Huh  Remember seeing a sales figure about vans not so long ago.

Even the next Stream, Mazda5 competitor,'s base model won't be starting at $18k when its going to launch.
