Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

2007 Ferrari 599 GTB FioranoWhile it's more luxurious and more comfortable than its predecessor, the 575 Maranello, the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano hasn't "gone soft", reports Laurance Yap.  "It's still a Ferrari through and through," he says. "This is as extreme a front-engined, two-seat coupe as you can buy."      More...

A very classic beauty!  Grin  The 575 had a more aggressive styling but it was getting old ... I guess.  Embarrassed

I don't know if you really need parking sensors, navigation, heated seats and an 11 speaker Bose system in a Ferrari but I guess they want to keep up with the luxo competition.  The Corvette's magnetic suspensions are very amusing.  Grin  I  know I know ... it's not the same thing.  Tongue  A 620 HP and  448 lb.-ft. V12 ... now your talking Ferrari.  It's only missing a stick ... I'm sure the new and improved paddle thingies are very nice but I would rather have a stick-shift for my personnal entertainment.  Lips Sealed

I don't know but with all the "excess" luxury and the new look ... this 599 looks like a fatty compared to the 575.  They should make a version without the useless gadgets.  Grin

I love the name but I don't know if I like the design. The front is nicely chiseled but the back looks odd, perhaps because of the lack of quad taillights. The interior looks nice but how come the airbag cover isn't seamless?

is that some kind of wise crack?  Wink

Looks excellent. While it would definately look mean in black, red is definately the way to go when you get a ferrari. I'm not sure how I feel about those start shaped alloys. I could live with em, considering what kind of car they're on  Grin

This is Ferrari's personal GT car... Sounds like you'd be better off with the F430...

I agree with Prius on the oddity of the 2-versus-4 tail-lights.  Just seems somehow un-Ferrari.

Still, having said that, the shape of the car looks fantastic.  The 612 Scaglietti looks odd to me, but this thing has all the right proportioning.

In a perfect world, I'd have a F430 Spider for the weekends and track days and a the 599 for going to the office.  Wink  I'd happily choose the 599 over an SLR for my exotic GT machine.

Those luxury features are necessary as 599 competes with CL65 AMG and Contential GT.

Love the flying buttresses!

The rear does look odd with the 2 lights - would have liked another rear end shot of the car.

I think the previous gen car looked more exotic (front end especially, as it looked lower) but this car will probably grow on me.
