Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

not a bad review!

with the high costs of new work trucks these days, and even higher costs of diesel engine options, do the benefits of better fuel consumption outweigh the initial costs? In this it's similar to the initial costs of hybrids.  But diesels do have other pros such as durability and torque - and I'm sure that's why they are bought.

These trucks are not bought by "recreational" users ... it's a very serious truck.  You can even see the frame peeking under the body. (running boards are hiding it here).  I've seen some people with RVs with these things but you have to do some serious hauling to even have one of those monsters in the driveway.

The six-speed Allison 1000 transmission/Duramax 6600 diesel combo is what you want if you need to haul your house or your pet elephant.  Grin

I saw a commercial for one of these the other day and my jaw hit the floor when I heard the torque figures...  incredible vehicle.  I doubt I'll ever need (or want) one, but still impressive.

My friend's parents just bought one of these to tow their new fifth-wheel RV. He laughed when I showed him the Ridgeline when I drove it a few weeks ago.

I think we can say definitively that compared to this Silverado, the Ridgeline is a "truck" only in outward appearance.  Tongue

A friend has this truck, but an '04.  When we pull our speedboat out of the water he does not even bother to put it in 4WD.  I asked him one time if he could feel the truck working pulling the boat out and he just smiled and shook his head no.  Cool
