As expected, super-sharp pricing! Larger size and engine, probably smoother ride, while undercutting competitor pricing.

Wow this thing puts the Fit to shame in terms of pricing, and the Yaris to shame both in terms of price AND features...

Thumbs up to Nissan for including the airbags for every trim!

You might say that Nissan has a history of playing the Korean competitor to Honda and Toyota. Over the years they have constantly come up with cars that leapfrog what some feel are the japanese standards, even if fit and finish sometimes suffers. The Versa may well be the best small car introduced this year in North America.

Versa seems like a great value compares to Yaris and Fit.

If the quality is there.  Only time will tell how the Versa stacks up against the Fit and Yaris.

I agree, I always considered the Sentra behind the CSX/Impreza/Mazda3/Civic/Coralla.
Same with Altima, after TSX/Legacy/Mazda6/Accord/Camry.

I am curious to check out whether Nissan has taken serious effort on improving the interior, especially for entry-level econocar like Versa.

Why are Nissan's rates always above those of even Honda and Toyota? Even though i own and have owned Nissan's, finance rates are notoriously high and i was shocked to see that the rate for the Versa is 8.15%? I'm pretty sure i can get a better rate from the Shocked

The Fit has side airbags in every trim as well, though.
