My New Winters

After much discussion (and lots of help here, thank you all   :bow:  ) I now have my new winters on the Pathfinder.

So here are the old ones, still good for one or two more summers:




And the new winters. Caviler (BFGoodrich/Michelin house brand) Traction Kings, studded, mounted on Toyota Tundra wheels:



I will let everyone know how they work out this winter.

And they sound like it too   ;D

As you can see from the mud in the fender well, I need a good traction tire, not just a snow tire.  Fall and spring is bad here for the mud.

Lookin' good.  That's quite an aggressive tread.  Are the tires noisy on dry pavement?   :thumbup:

Yes, around town anyway.  Have not had them at highway speeds yet.

All that fits are cable chains, which I have.  Had to sell my ice chains, not enough clearance for them

Much harder to do than say due to the unibody and IFS.  3" seems about max, and even then the CV's do not last long.

And if I lift it, it won't fit in the garage with the Thule on   ;D
