Here's my pride and joy.

'90 Mazda Miata MX-5.

Only has approx 88,000 original kms on the clock.

The colour is quite rare - Mariner Blue.

The wheels pay homage to the classic "Minilite" wheels seen on late 60's roadsters.

What do you guys think?

Very nice!

I'll own an early Miata someday. I love the minilite style wheels.

Looks great, very well taken care of.  Nice colour, paint looks to be in good shape, too.  Have you owned it from new, or is it previously loved?

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I'm not the original owner but the previous owner took good care of her.

The engine is stock for now (except for a Racing Beat intake) but I would like to add a Greddy bolt-on turbo kit. The NA6CE 1.6 litre engine was made for a turbo. In fact, the very same engine was used in the turbocharged 323 GTX from the late 80's.

A very nice looking Miata!
Km wise, you beat my 90 by 2000 km. Sad
I really like your wheels.  The old Mini lite style looks great on a Miata.
I also like your roll bar.  The top bar on my roll bar does a great job of blocking out the traffic behind me. Tongue
A turbo would be a very nice upgrade.  Keep the boost low and the motor will last forever.
Are you running a stock suspension?

^ Yes, the suspension is stock but I would love to get the TEIN SS suspension kit.

If you like the wheels, you should check out the Chaparral wheel and tire packages from Rspeed in Georgia.

There's a bunch of rim makers who manufacture those type of wheels.  They are nice but I think 84im and I have gone a different path when it comes to the car's shoes.

The interior bits really do touch up the otherwise bland interior.  The chrome vent rings and chrome shifter/e-brake lever are a great touch that adds to the Momo wheel.

^ thanks. the interior did seem a little bland to me when I acquired the car, these bits spice it up considerably. and the Momo steering wheel is smaller in diameter than stock so it gives a racier, more direct feel than stock.

I'm on the hunt for a new wheel/shifter for the interior.  Momo makes some very nice wheels that really spices up the interior.  May also go with the carbon fibre dash kit to keep things looking fresh inside.  How does the chrome ball do in the summer when you park the car out in the sun?  I had a shift knob like that years ago, and it was a heat magnet.  Seats may also want either a set of covers or a new seat completely.  Can't believe you have the original tape deck....
