Day-by-Day Review: 2009 Honda Pilot
Honda has taken the Pilot in a more truckish direction, says James, and though it's a large vehicle, he finds it's quite easy to park. On the whole, though, he finds the Pilot's powertrain and all-wheel drive system aren't as good as those in Ford's crossovers.

That Quebec-based "Plethore" super car looks pretty neat.  I'd like to see / read more on that beast.  I wonder if they'll have a display at the Toronto Auto Show in Feb?

Also...

If Suzuki wants to light some fires in their showrooms and in the media, all they need to do is introduce a street-ready WRC Edition SX4.  Take a more pedestrian version of the turbocharged 2L 4cyl (say with maybe 220-250 hp) and watch the praise.  It'd be a real contender for the Mazdaspeed3... but with the benefit of a sophisticated AWD system.  Giddy up!

Never mind. Build and Price for 2007 Outlander is now available on Mitsubishi's web site.

Wholly fack, it's got my vote, being so hot and starting at $25,498 for the LS 2WD with V6 standard, LS 4WD $26,998 (with options that make sense), XLS 4WD $32,998. The XLS is the only one with 7 passenger seating. Go (far) Mitsubishi!

Of note, the Volvo C30 does not make 260hp as claimed in the article.

I just looked at the XLS STD options and it's amazing. @$32,998 CAD it comes basically fully loaded - including the Luxury and Sound&Sun Packages equivalent in the US models. This is $600 CAD less than the RAV4 Sport which doesn't even come close to the equipment level of the Outlander. I hope it's not a mistake... The only option I did not see is the HID which is available in the US as part of the Luxury&Leather package, but I guess it's not a big deal. And for those interested, for $4000 CAD more, you get BOTH Navi AND RSE. This one hack of a deal by any comparison.
I only hope that the dealers will not exploit the context and come up with the stupid "premium charge" or limit the negotiation. This will ruin Mitsu Canada great job to competitively price the Outlander. I still want to get a good price on it, meaning few hundred bucks over the invoice price.

Man oh man, can't believe the price of that Jeep Patriot either. The Caliber is the cheapie, but this isn't much more. And the Compass is MOREHuh

At $16,995 the Patriot really ought to be a high volume seller. Nothing - not even Kia - comes close with base pricing for something similar, tho admittedly most will be optioned at which point the prices come closer. I get the feeling many shopping for an inexpensive vehicle would be tempted with the base model in this case though. Small car, SUV body, cheap price, Jeep rugged looks. Will be irrestistable to many, thinking moreso when I look at how much the similarly styled Liberty is and how many of them there are on the road.
