Jeremy Cato of Car/Business, GlobeAuto drove the Wrangler Unlimited over some seemingly tough terrain. Despite that, I can understand John falling over this vehicle. This vehicle is really cool, Jeep Commander is an aberration. This is the big Jeep.

After reading more on the Unlimited I find the functionality impressive. One thing I always disliked about Jeeps was the limited available space for passengers and cargo. This model has addressed those concerns. I do recall the narrow gauge combined with high center of gravity made them dangerous at speeds over 70 kph. I wonder if this has changed with the newer models. I’m sure loaded up with gear and passengers the 4 banger would wheeze.

Snowy, I'm certain the new design has addressed handling/control issue with the use of sway bars and the like.

In some off road situations, the extra wheelbase of the Unlimited 4 door can be advantageous versus the 2 door model.
