Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

Test Drive:
2007 Porsche 911 Turbo

2007 Porsche 911 TurboThe new 997 Turbo Coupe is the result of four decades of development and refinement both on and off the track, reports Contributor Russell Purcell.  The twin water-cooled turbochargers on the new 911 Turbo feature Variable Turbine Geometry. "By adjusting the angle of these vanes the system can achieve higher turbine speeds, and thus higher boost pressure, at lower engine rpm," he says.   "..the end result is a car that features a wide power band and virtually no turbo lag."

Nice lengthy review.  I may want to add that the rear wiper is actually a no-cost option.

What winter tires do you have on the car?

Yeah, I'd love one too even though Porsche still thinks we have a $1.39 exchange rate! When are they going to look at the exchange rates?

When people stop buying them?

If the exchange rate as 0.50, I could consider buying one.  But as it stands now, it's not the exchange rate that's holding me back.  But at the same time, I'd be happy with a Carrara S or a GT3.  No need for twin turbos.

Agree. Personally my dream car target is a C4.

Doesn't even have to be new. As long as its a well-maintained car, at the end of the day you're still driving a Porsche. Smiley

I like the 964, 965, and 993 cars....the 997 is nice too.  Not too fond of the 996 but those things are cheap used.

As an enthusiast, I think I'd prefer a 911 GT3 since it's a more visceral driving machine. I've been lucky enough to get a good spin in a 996 GT3 and that car was just amazing at full song.
