Chevrolet S10/GMC SonomaPickup trucks, 1994-2003
Though their reliability record is spotty, GM's small pickup trucks, the Chevy S10 and GMC Sonoma, are cheap to buy and offer a "simple and-easy-to-fix design," reports Contributing Editor, Chris Chase.  In addition, the available 4.3-litre V6 is "well-suited to towing tasks," he notes.
