The Saturn Vue's low resale values make it a tempting used vehicle choice, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase, but there are some things to watch out for:  pre-2004 models had an unreliable CVT transmission, and the rear suspension on 2002 and 2004 models was the subject of a recall.  If low price and a domestic nameplate are your key considerations, a used Ford Escape is a better buy, he recommends.

You forgot to mention all wheel drive rdm,s. Took out 2 in my 04; 1 in my 05 & need replacing in my 06 right now. 230,000 km,s in my 3 Honda powered V-6 Vues & the rdmsRear wheel drive modules) are made of tin foil. They work well in the Torrent /Equinox but the extra 75 hp the Vus has fries em real quick!
