Day-by-Day Review: 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3
For a car whose design is a full five years old, the RX-8 still turns heads, especially thanks to the R3 trim his tester wore. Not all is perfect, though: the Recaro seats are a pain, and fuel consumption is on the high side.

You may discuss our cover story of the day in this thread....
Test Drive:
2007 Chrysler Pacifica Limited

2007 Chrysler Pacifica LimitedCompared to newer crossovers like the Ford Edge, the Chrysler Pacific crossover is beginning to feel dated, reports Contributing Editor, Chris Chase.  Even the new 4.0-litre V6 and six-speed automatic transmission "fall short of expectations", he says. Also, Chris compares the Pacifica to crossover newcomers, the Ford Edge and GMC Acadia.

So, what they're saying is that after 4 years and a new engine/tranny combo, the vehicle is still bloated, sluggish, has bad rear visibility and is overpriced.

What else is new?  Huh Tongue

I test drove one when we were looking for a replacement for the Highlander and found it to be a good overall X-Over. I did like the comfort and available space but was disappointed with the interior styling and material. Contrary to what Chris writes I did find it underpowered as it is a heavy vehicle.

At the time it was a real contender but has fallen somewhat due to recent releases in this segment. I always go back to out Highlander ownership experience as a benchmark and unfortunately that set the bar very high.
