Day-by-Day Review: 2009 Honda Pilot
Honda has taken the Pilot in a more truckish direction, says James, and though it's a large vehicle, he finds it's quite easy to park. On the whole, though, he finds the Pilot's powertrain and all-wheel drive system aren't as good as those in Ford's crossovers.

Picture Gallery:  2008 Jeep Wrangler

Day 1:

2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2dr 4x4
Up for review this week is the 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara two door 4x4 -- now, that is a mouthful.   This will be one tough vehicle for me to review -- I know nothing about Jeeps, and admitting that is half the battle.  I know a little about the Jeep brand and I can review a Grand Cherokee (and have) because it is similar to other SUVs on the road, but a Wrangler is an entirely different animal. I like the way the imbedded ad makes the post essentially unreadable.

Yeah, me too. All the other ones are fine, though.  Huh

EDIT: Oops, I lied. All the other ones are screwed up too. Don't know if it's new, or if maybe I just noticed now.

I'm viewing at 1024 x 768.

Looks OK to me, although I'm running at 1920 x 1200.

Here is a pic:

I think they mean the annoying embedded ads that show up randomly in the middle of posts on the forum. I hate those stupid floating ads as well - you know, the ones that you can't find the close button for? Arrgh   Angry

No, I mean that both the ad and the picture squeeze the text into a tiny column on the far left side.

The text looks like this:

Up

this
week
is

2008
Jeep
Wrang
Sahar

If the words are longer (like the last two), then the last letters get cut off by the picture.

C'mon wing, at least get the Jeep a little bit dirty.  Surely there are some 'unassumed roads' or road allowances just outside Ottawa that will allow you to at least engage the 'go-go stick' (4WD lever)?  Grin

I took one of these out back in March and was sufficiently impressed with it.   I was expecting horrid wind noise, rattles, air-leaks, rough ride and was pleasantly surprised how road-friendly it was.  The 6-speed manual was actually pretty fun to drive.  What drove me away was the insane 8% lease rate and the fact the salesguy said there was zero flex in the price since they were so popular.

Does your tester have the 'Freedom top'?

Construction site ? Gravel pit ?  Farm road ?  Local off-road club ?

Still, Wing might have a point...99% of these things never leave town.

I've always wanted a Wrangler but they just don't seem overly functional as a daily driver even though I'm single.
