i wonder if the new one will have better seating?  i found the previous generation seats to be uncomfortable due to inadequate thigh support, but i'm one of those persons with shorter torso, longer legs..

I'm glad they've brought back the awd...my wife is looking for a replacement for her 03 Corolla, and wants awd.  Since she's had nothing but Toyotas since an unpleasant experience with a Buick Skylark in the early 1980s, she'll look at Toyota first.

"The 1.8-litre-equipped Matrix has an electric pre-heater that sends out warm air immediately upon start-up until the coolant heats up sufficiently to do the job."

That feature should be available on more vehicles today.

Looks like big blind spots in the rear pillars.

I, too, think they should have kept the height of the vehicle. Forget chasing the Mazda3 Sport.

Wish I could get the front of the Vibe (like much more) with the rear of the Matrix.

Yup, which is what lots of other people said/did.  Sure, the Scoob was a bit more than the AWD Matrix, but had more power, better AWD, etc.

I am guessing on the pricing, but as it is a new product, Toyota will try for at least a 20% premium over US, and I bet 25% will be reality.  They reduced MSRP's but only by a pittance.  A Prius in the US can be had for about $24K.  At that price in Canada, I'd be tempted...

the car must be in at dealer lots by now, and we still can't get some hard numbers for pricing??   ROFL

why the delay?  the US prices have been out for some time now, even their website is updated

I missed the US price by a few bucks.  AWD = $20,400.  No way the Can price will be less than $23K...
