I always liked the convertible version of these, based on a first impression at a dealership here of an ice-blue convert sitting outside on a sunny day with the top down, revealing it's ivory leather interior. What a handsome combo that car was...

I never saw the point of this car... I would have bought a preowned  real M-B had I wanted a small convertible with a M-B power train rather than a new Crossfire.  But I never considered buying the M-B either.

I guess it would depend on where you live
I think they were hoping people in small towns may by them, where a MB dealer could be hours away.
Also price for a used MB  you probably get new Crossfire

Perhaps there is less fickle-ness, in NA car buyers in general than to those who live in Europe?

Looks like a nice deal used. Of course the biggest issue it has no "gotta have it" quality about. Nice, competent but nothing that makes me want to take out a second mortgage. Too many other more compelling cars in the market for me to choice this one for myself. That and I'm too cheap. In tens years I could be in the market for one.

We rented a convertible Crossfire last year in Vegas for the drive to the Grand Canyon and Back.

(It was auto with the 'manu' stick - you know + - side to side action).

For the long drive to the canyon and back, I found this car very comfortable.  Acceleration to pass from highway speeds was very responsive.

One thing I noticed, is that this car does not turn heads, or 'get noticed'.   Although I felt quite special driving around in a beautiful white 2 seater, top down etc, I really got the impression I was the only one who felt special.
