Used Vehicle Review:
GM's midside SUVs, 2002-2007

GM's midside SUVs, 2002-2007GM's mid-sized SUVs, introduced in 2002, are known for their sophisticated but thirsty 275-hp 4.2-litre DOHC inline six-cylinder engines, but their reliability record hasn't been stellar:  Consumer Reports cites problems with four-wheel drive, electrical, fuel delivery and climate control systems.

Real-world mileage (05 TB 4.2L6 on brand-new Michelin Cross Terrains)?

Toronto-Leamington-Toronto @ 120kph:

17 imp. MPG or ~17l/100

Great truck, just lousy mileage. Shocked

Last summer I took the family on a tour of Ontario and Quebec. I wanted to rent a minivan, at the last minute it was changed to a Trailblazer (some story about two of the rental agency's minivans involved in accidents in one week).
It was reasonably confortable for 3 adults in the rear seat.
I drove Hamilton -Toronto- Ottawa-Quebec-Montreal-Toronto-Niagara Falls-Toronto-Hamilton, including some city driving and keeping the speed limit most of the time.
Bottom line: a bit less than 10 l/100 km.
I was surprised - two years earlier my '00 Caravan, 3.0 liter engine, same passengers, did about the same on Calgary-Kelowna-Vancouver-Victoria-Kamloops-Calgary.
