So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

It looks like Mitsubishi has plans to bring the SST Dual Clutch transmissions like the EVO’s to many more models including the Outlander.

This would be awesome, and even better if they upgraded the 2009 Outlander V6 with Direct fuel injection.

Who would want a car like that? It sounds like a BLENDER?

I've heard a lot of praise for the sound of the Nissan VQ engine, but I've also heard that one compared to a blender (specifically the 350Z in a C&D shootout with the Audi TT, RX-8, and Shelby GT).  I've also heard the RX-8 and Mazdaspeed6 compared to vacuum cleaners.

What sounds fantastic to one person's ears sounds like a household appliance to another's.  Sound is as subjective as bodywork.

They'd better not to since I'd be tempted to do a stupid thing and trade-in my 07 Outlander.
With the SST, they've got the +/- position right versus the current 6-speed A/T.

All the reviews so far are positive about the EVO, especially the SST transmission. Looking forward to see the cheaper and less techno Rally Art version.

Here’s another nicely done test drive between the STI and the EVO. It’s in HD, you can have a good listen to the two different engines and how they sound.

Saw my first actual EVO X in person at a shopping mall yesterday, loved it. However, after check the numbers and rates on the Mitsu site, all that enthusiasm and excitement kinda deflated ... lease rate is 8.38%, a 36 mths lease is asking over $800 a month. Maybe a used unit from the south in a year or 2 or 3.

I was down at the Mitsu dealer the other day, and asked about the EVO.  Guy said they had received five for the year, and sold two.  Any sales numbers for the EVO...  I thought, high price or not, it would be selling quicker than that...

Lease rates are terrible and so are the finance rates.  People that like this type of car typically can't pay cash for it.

Don't think Mitsu wants to a high number of the EVOs. Setting market target with the new RallyArt version. Rumor the next generation Eclipse will have Turbo I4 & AWD back, like gen 1 & 2.
