Day-by-Day Review: 2009 Audi A3 2.0T quattro S-Line
After weeks without driving anything "sporting," James hops into the driver's seat of the lightly redesigned 2009 Audi A3. Fun indeed, and with quattro all-wheel drive and a set of winter tires, the perfect vehicle for winter time.

Test Drive:
2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE V8

2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE V8The Nissan Pathfinder is available with a new 310-horsepower V8 for 2008, but though it's powerful and very capable, says Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh, the timing couldn't be worse with today's gas prices.

Agree with the viewer, ill timed intro for a very good vehicle. But does the world need another V8 SUV?

Saw it on Driving TV last night as well.

I took a V8 LE for a test drive year. The interior upgrades got rid of some of the plastic nastiness. I also didn't mind the firm truck ride. The snarly V8 sound and thrust was the star of the show though. I am not sure if I would pay for it new. Perhaps a used cherry that is 2 years old. The cash savings could go towards gas...

How so? Didn't Nissan return the Pathfinder back to it's frame/body roots for the 2005 model? Running gear is similar also. Know if you said last GOOD LOOKING pathfinder was 2004 I could understand that. I wouldn't agree but I could understand.

Many Pathy enthusiasts might say the last truly great version was built in 2000 - the last year the 3.3-litre engine was used.

The 3.5 the 2001 model got was way more powerful, but isn't as reliable.

I'd rock a pre-2000 Pathy all day long.
