Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

Funny, fond of the hood scoops and without 'em think the design would be much more sedate.

I think sedate is good in high powered cars myself.   M5 or previous M3 come to mind... practically no visible "stuff" to disturb the lines

I Agree They used to call cars like that 'sleepers'. The original '64 Pontiac GTO comes to mind - it was almost impossible to distinguish from a run-of-the-mill Tempest except for a pair of discreet hood scoops and a few badges. The '64 GTO convertible is drop-dead gorgeous, probably the the best GM design ever IMO.

I purchased the V6 G8 and it is worth every penny. The interior, exterior, engine, transmission, and colour are all phenomenal. The sound system is unbeatable as well. Thank you GM for bringing the true Pontiac excitement back. Anyone who is a domestic nay sayer, think twice. Consider this: Most so called Japanese cars are now made in North America. Also, the G8 was built in Australia. I love this car.

I will definitely put some pics together for everyone to view. I was looking at the BMW 1 series and the Mazda Rx8. I also was comtemplating the Pontiac Solstice and Ford Mustang, but I think I made the right choice with the G8. I will get the pics posted as soon as possible.

This seems like a very nice car. Smiley I have seen several in my travels around the G.T.A. on my sales calls. It deserves a much better fate than the recent G.T.O. which was a dud sales wise. Would a V-6/hybrid combination help keep this baby afloat with escalating fuel costs?

While I m uncertain about Pontiac's future I am a fan of this car. G8, Malibu, Aura, Astra.... Some great cars coming from the General lately... I am curious to see if the Cobalt's replacement can be as great as these cars are.

It does look good up close and not too shabby when you see it on the road. One was ahead of me coming home the other day and it took a minute for the G8 symbol to register. It was black.

How can one tell which engine is there from the rear?

If you can't catch it then it must have 8 cylinders on full boil! Wink

Good question though... Does the top level V-6 have dual exhaust as well?

V8's have the 'GT' badge on the left side of the trunk lid, and quad exhausts vs duals on the V6.
