Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

In all the driving I do, I have only ever seen two of these vehicles on the road. They must've not sold many.

I think they are cool.  I say one for sale for $5500 once....and I missed buying it by an hour or so....Sad

Pickering Honda have one for sale. Wink

http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=49173&adid=7130480

I called.  They were asking $10K for it.   And it sold for that!!   Shocked

Thats a lot. But I seen 8-10 year old corollas sell for not much less than that.  Wink

Apparently buyers in the US are now going nuts over this thing...low mileage examples on e-bay were going for mid $20,000s...yes...more than their MSRPs when new.

I wonder how easy it be would to ship an Insight to the states. Smiley

How many people need a 2 seater car. Beside it had unknown and unproven technology at the time. Grin

This would be a great little commuter for me. I am driving the 2001 Civic full time now but would prefer the Yaris. If I remember though the cargo area in an Insight is pretty sparse so it might not make such a great sales vehicle after all. A current Prius would work well for me though.

I was going to recommend you call because Pickering VW/Honda/Toyota are having 'Hail Sales selling below invoice' since a recent hail storm resulted in lots of small nicks on essentially every vehicle on their lots. Pretty sad sight, but if someone doesn't care about how their car looks, can pick one out lightly scathed, or knows how to remedy the dimples would be worthwhile.

  This is too funny.

I own one of the 18,000 Insights manufactured since 1999 and I admit being shocked to find so much lack of mainstream knowledge in this place even after a full 8 years after the model was released.

Anyway all, happy dreams while the rest of the world passes you by.   Roll Eyes

18000 out of about 135,000,000 vehicles sold in NA since 1999 ( about 15MM/year )  it is not really surprising that no-one knows much  about them.   That cant be more than one or two per Honda dealer per year surely.

Does it seem to anyone else that the people who the most in here are the ones who can't be bother to actually register?

If I wanted to hang around tools, I'd go to Home Depot.

Some CD members mention the ignorance that goes on in this forum at other forums and some come here have a have a look like I did. That's all.
Do I feel like registering?  No. A drop in IQ is not what most people are looking for.I will pass.

But after so many years it is still a blast when old style gear heads discuss hybrid issues.  ROFL

C'mom, let's not drag down Home Depot name and compare it to this forum. If that was the case, your expertise in hybrids would make Home depot look like a day-care.   Embarrassed

Only seats two, loud, slow, expensive to buy new, less HP than my motorcycle which gets better mileage. Yep, you've got a real peach on your hand there. Roll Eyes

Obviously your vast intelligence is wasted here amongst us plebeians. Surely you have speaking engagements at MENSA meetings to attend.
