2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara

2009 Suzuki Grand VitaraThe Suzuki Grand Vitara is the compact SUV you'll probably overlook and shouldn't, says Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh; the 2009 version offers a new four-cylinder engine, quieter cabin and surprisingly capable off-road ability.

I really like the look of the Grand Vitara. Boxy, yet stylish.

I haven't driven one yet though, and they are quite rare.

I wouldn't say very common here, but I usually see a few everyday here in the GTA - but the market's a lot bigger...

It seems that Suzuki sells more cars these days.

I think the 4cyl was a fabulous idea. You need the option and fuel ecn. is now close to that of its competitors - but it kicks arse in the towing and off-roading dept.

3000lb of towing for a 2.4 L 4cyl? is that a typo? it seems a bit exaggerated?!
