Day-by-Day Review: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8GT; Day 3
So the Genesis Coupe isn't the most practical sports car around, says James, but what really matters here is how the car drives. And it's in that department that this car really shines, he says.

They look awful to you, but Nissan isn't exactly struggling to move Altimas, so clearly they don't look awful to everyone.  I find the new fang-face gracing all new Acuras looks bloody awful to me, but some people seem to like them.

Well, obviously SOME people like them. After all, the boy racers who bought the original aftermarket plastichrome units for their Hondas loved them. But putting them on a mainstream car just shows poor judgement and bad taste. To me, of course... (just so you wouldn't have to add that). One wonders how many Altimas are sold in spite of the plastichrome lights rather than because of them.

One wonders how many Altimas - a mainstream family sedan - are sold to boyracers.  Maybe a lot.  Or maybe more than just boyracers like the look.  Maybe you are not in fact the sole arbiter of good taste.  Who knows.

I say we keep a running tab on how many times Greg pops in to tell us that clear tail lights are boy racer / silly / awful / tasteless / hideous - all in a thread about the Nissan Maxima, which doesn't have them.   ROFL

Everyone needs a cause, I guess.  There's  no law that says it has to be meaningful.
