Test Drive:
2009 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart

2009 Mitsubishi Galant RalliartReturning after a year's hiatus, the 2009 Mitsubishi Ralliart has an "excellent powertrain" and numerous high-end features, says Assistant Editor Jil McIntosh, but it feels like "it's in search of an identity."

I'd certainly cross shop a GT to a Camry.....very nice and underrated (I think there was a recent used car review of the Galant here.....).

Glad to see the parts supplier for the Chrysler Sebring tail light assembly has a a new customer in Mitsubishi!  Wink

I want to like this car but I can't help but think that its a bit dated compared to a New Mazda 6 which is probaly the closest "sporty" competitor to the Ralliart.
Theinterior looks particularly dated when its in a 30K car ...especially when much nicer updated interior is available in a sub 30 K competior like a Mazda 6.

Looks like a nice used buy in 3 years when one comes off lease though.

Cheaper than the Camcordima6, but not otherwise competitive IMHO.

Which demographic market segment is this vehicle appealing to ?

Agree that it might be a good used buy in 2-3 years.

I Agree Too dated-looking, too many cheap touches - that pic of the exposed, wrinkled sheet metal and loose wiring in the trunk says it all. I'd expect a little more from a car that costs this much.
