Chrysler Sebring 2006 Sedan - tire size 15s or 16s?

I have a 2006 Sebring Sedan that I bought used. It must have had the drivers door replaced because I cannot find a plate anywhere on the door or elsewhere on the car that tells me what the original tire size was. To further complicate things, my web searches lead me to believe that over period 2001 to today, some Sebring Sedans have had 15 inch tire while some have had 16 inchers. Most online tools/calculators will tell you 16's but some tell you 15s. And I despise my local dealership with much much venom. So I will not ask them (long story..).

Any suggestions on how I can confirm the original tire size that came on my car out of the factory?

Maybe your VIN number could help? Ask a Chrysler dealer (doesn't have to be yours).

Base Sedan 2006
I think they dropped all the sub model LX LXi etc etc around 2003?

Bigger is just for style/bling. You can go as small as your brake calipers will allow you to. In my Corolla I could've gone 14" if I wanted to but I went with 15" winters on stock steelies and 17" rims for the summer.

205/60R16 was the standard size in 2006.  That's what I have on my 2002 Sebring sedan and run 205/65R15 in the winter on steelies.

Thanks for the replies gents. Well go figure this. I just spoke with Chrysler Canada and they looked up my VIN. They say my car came from factory with 205 65R15. The dealer I bought it from has 205 60R15 all-seasons on it. So I guess I will go with the factory size 205 65R15s for winter
