....
None of their vehicles are "out standing" compared to the competition.
....

The king of rubbish statements...you've reached a new low...congrats.

I'll make the statement that no Toyota vehicles are "outstanding" compared to the competition.  Of course, you'll label that a bunch of crap and want ME to back-up my statement with proof from 8 sources...none of which you provide of course.

Name one GM car or 1500 series light truck, currently for sale, that is "out standing" in it's segment?  Something that doesn't have a huge monetary incentive attached to it in order for it to top the sales chart?  Thinker   Landau roof vehicles included. Smiley

Besides being able to come to grips with major business issues, Toyota differs from GM in that it doesn't give projections based on facts that don't exist.   This is Toyota's statement of the projected state of the industry:

Speaking at a press conference in Tokyo, Executive Vice-President Yoichiro Ichimaru wasn't getting carried away. "The outlook for global vehicle demand remains uncertain," he said.

This is GMs recently announcement.  The key word here is "should".  GM should trade mark this word because they use it in every sentence.  The new GM could be called "Should Have Been Motors".  Smiley

US auto sales should improve modestly next year as tight credit for auto financing eases and the economy works its way out of the recession, General Motors Co's top executive said on Thursday.  CEO Fritz Henderson said he expects the auto industry to sell 11-and-a-half million to 12 million cars and light trucks in the US next year, compared with about 10 million to 10-and-a-half million vehicles this year.
