Being a relatively young 'old man' my automotive history isn't as numerous as my liver spots (unlike many of the regulars here).  So, I can give a pictorial of all that I've enjoyed to date.

Thankfully, I've yet to have a truly awful car or lemon.  My first car, a 1985 Corolla hatchback was definitely the least fun, but since it was previously my grandmother's car, what can one expect?  Anyway, it did the trick in getting me back and forth from University in first and second year before selling it to sustain my penchant for text books.  I don't have any digital photos of it, but it was a burgundy-coloured version of the blue beast seen below:


After university, I bought my '93 Civic Si.  I loved this car.  Put in a 10-disc changer in the trunk and was all set.  It was exceedingly reliable and economical to run.  It looked like the representative picture below:


When I got my first full-time, decent-paying job, I figured I'd reward myself with a proper, German sports sedan.  The Ascot green 1998 BMW 328i is still missed to this day for its smooth, linear, torquey engine.  Mmmm...

My neighbour has the exact colour e36...except his is an M3.  Nice rides Jeffery.  Where's the Audi?  Got any pictures of the Audi and her bum scratch?

Nearly two years ago, the BMW -- approaching 130,000 kms -- was starting to show some electrical gremlins.  With big-time maintenance coming up soon enough, I thought I'd better offload the car before it started to cost me some big bucks.  Besides, work had provided me with a new car allowance and that meant that I had the perfect excuse for a new car.  Enter the 2004 (1/2) Audi A4 1.8T Quattro.  Smooth, solid, economical and surprisingly reliable the Audi has been a great machine... if a little boring.  The winter months are definitely a hoot in this thing and it's so nice not getting stuck in the BMW anymore.   

Summer of '05, got myself a wife and with it came another Civic Coupe.  An '02 LX model.

But I can't forget some other fun vehicles I've had too.  A little over a month ago for my 30th birthday, my wife bought me a new bike.  2005 Giant Iguana.  Not too fancy, but all the features to ensure I can keep up with my brother and his friends on our exploratory rides.

And a few years ago, my Piranha Inazone 220 playboat for whitewater.  Small enough to really throw it around.  I was about 20 lbs lighter then and certainly wouldn't be able to paddle it now!

MDX, the "love tap" was pretty insignificant.  The greatest damage was suffered by my anger management willpower.

Nice cars Jeff!  My Mom had the identical Corolla wagon before her Outback - scary car on the highway, but it lasted 12 years.

Too bad you didn't have the sports pkg on the 328i.  Nice colour though - black isn't my favourite.

Starting with 2004.5 all A4's have the lowers painted.  Ours is the same, and my wife wanted the unpainted lowers.  There's no pleasing ...

The painted looks MUCH better.  Especially for a car in this price range.

Nice rides Jeffy. I've had the pleasure of seeing the Audi up close when I was stalking patrolling the area where you live.

Nice bike too. I also have an Iguana although mine is a few years older than yours and doesn't have the disk brakes. It's a good all around bike without being too expensive.

Nice pics and story Jeff.  For some reason I always thought you had the wagon but obviously it isn't.  They are great looking cars in either sedan and wagon trims.

Nice bike also.  One of the guys I ride with has the same model in a different colour.  He beats the crap out of his and its still going.  If you have never been to Fruita CO or Moab UT (only 2 hours from each other) do you self a favor and go there to mtn bike.  Its the MECA for mountain biking.  It has something for every level.  One trail named Moore Fun took me 90 minutes to go only 5 miles. Hated every second of it until I was finished and thought, wow, that is one amazing trail.  This guy has has great pictures and video of the area.

For some of the best mtn biking in SW-Ontario go to Kolopore or Third Stage (about 30 minutes apart).  Its only a 2-3 hour drive from TO so you can day trip it or make a weekend out of it.

Snowman, the shots are from the ghettos of Oakville... not 'Da Creek'. 

Initial D, I think I'll keep the alphabet soup going in a different direction next time.  I'm thinking with the Mazdaspeed6, MX5 and RX8 and reasonable lease rates, it'd be hard to drive past a Mazda dealership next time round (whenever that may be!!!).

I ride a 2003 (bought in 2004) Jamis Dakota XC.  It has a Reynolds 631 frame (steel) and weighs in under 25 pounds.  I had to move to a lighter bike for climbing as I'm almost 40 and the guys I ride with are 10 years younger than me.
